Demo Contest Rules

Note: The winner of the Global Demo Contest in a particular month will be the contestant with the highest Account Equity. Account Equity** is calculated as account's current balance including dollar profit and loss of all positions. Demo Contest Accounts will begin with balance of $25,000 and 1% margin requirement.

The final Account Equity will be determined at the 3 pm closing price on the last business day of the month.

Please keep in mind that the Account Equity takes into account the dollar profit (P/L) of open trades as well.

A free demo account does not give access to the paid demo contest.
If paying by credit card for the Monthly Demo Contest, you can choose to automatically renew your request for the next contest or participate for one month. This information must be specified on the Demo Contest Request Form.
Fees paid for the demo contest are non-refundable.
Any Demo Contest participant found to be exploiting DealStatio™ for fraudulent profit will forego all rights to said profit. Tampering with the system to increase a demo account's profits is prohibited and will result in disqualification from the competition.
Demo Contest accounts will be temporarily unavailable for 30 minutes beginning at 3:00 pm NYT on the last business day of the month. During this time, you will not be able to access the trading platform or your demo account's status reports. Your account statement will be automatically cleared of all trading activities; therefore you should print out the account status report before 3:00 pm if you want to keep a record of your trading activity.
Contest accounts will have access to both the DealStation™ and Charts & News software for the duration of the contest only. Access will be disabled when contest ends.
Demo contest accounts which are refilled during the monthly contest period will lose the right to win the contest.
The name of the Demo Contest winner will be posted on DealStation™ demo login page, as well as on the real-time result display page designated to the demo contest, shortly after closing (3pm NYT) on the last trading day of the contest.
A Real-time results page will be displayed on the MG website which will list the account status of the top 10 traders in the Demo Contest.
No demo contestant may be the winner of the Demo Contest more than once in any 365-day period.
Any live account that is credited with $1,500 or $3000** monetary prize but does not have any trading activity within 6 months of account approval will be closed at the discretion of MG Financial Group.
The credit awarded to the winner's live account cannot be withdrawn. All trading profits in excess of the prize can be withdrawn. The winner must claim his prize by submitting a complete live account application together with supportive documents to MG Financial Group within 40 days of winning the contest. Prize will be credited subject to and contingent upon approval of the application. Applications submitted to MG that do not meet requirements may be rejected.
Ultimate Demo Contest and Monthly Demo Contest participants will be pooled for the purpose of the contest.

**Ultimate Demo Contest winners with account equity equal to 5x the beginning equity or more will receive credit of $3000 to a live trading account. Ultimate Demo Contest winners with account equity less than 5x the beginning equity will receive credit of $1500 to a live trading account. Trading credits can not be withdrawn from live accounts, only those trading profits in excess of the prize can be withdrawn.
